Bio Protect is pleased to annouce its exspnsion into Canada with the creation of BIO Protect of Canada, LLC.  Our new Canadian facility will be based out of Alberta, Canada and will service the entire country with BIO Protect affiliates in each province. 

Gordy Powell is the Director of Operations of A-1 BIO-Clean Service, a biorecovery firm based out of Atlanta, Georgia.  A-1 BIO-Clean Service has been assisting the families, businesses and communities in the state of Georgia since 1996.  Gordy also held the distinguished position as the Vice President of the ABRA (American Bio Recovery Association) on their Board of Directors for four years.  ABRA is the governing body over the biorecovery industry. 

During his term as Vice President of ABRA he was noted for the following accomplishments:

·         To author the” Know Your Rights” work place compliance poster

·         Authoring the contingency insert plan for Emergency Manuals

·         Having ABRA placed in the front of the phone directories in 13 states

·         Taking ABRA on the road and connecting with service like minded organizations and associations by ABRA attending their trade shows and conferences.  

·         Creating the ABRA round Table Forum so that ABRA members may have a voice in business decisions on ABRA

·         Creating , establishing and hand picking the ABRA Ethics Panel

·         ABRA’s endorsement program and the endorsement seal on products that ABRA credits worthy and necessary for biorecovery work.

·         Establishing an outline for all Board of Director meetings

·         Authoring the BOD policy and procedure manual

·         Speaking at select engagements on ABRA behalf to educate like minded organizations and associations about our industry and services

Gordy is one of ABRA voices in lecturing organizations, various industries and many victim support groups of the advantages of having a biorecovery firm on hand.  He speaks at many conferences and trade shows in the remediation and public safety industry.  Gordy’s background is in public safety and marketing.  As a family man he and his wife Sheila have three sons (Jason, David and Joshua) and two daughters Lauren and Rebecca).  If you should ask him his passion is his wife and kids.

Gordy is also part owner of Bio Protect LLC and Bio Protect of Canada, which are international bio protection firms that clean and apply an anti microbial barier in schools, colleges, medical as well as private and public facilities.

 

 

 

 Gordy also writes various articles which include the bi-monthly edition of R&R Magazine, as well as being the former editor of the BIO-Graph which is a quarterly newsletter for the ABRA.  His hobbies are attending classic car shows with his wife’s classic 67 convertible Shelby Mustang and attending SEC Football games, “Go Dawgs”

1988 Mark Fagala started his career in the crisis management business as team member with Gaston Lifesaving Crew and Union Road Fire Department. When disasters happened or the weather turned bad Mark and his squad went to search and rescue victims in the worst of circumstances.   Over the years as he grew and learned some difficult lessons Mark received public, media and personal recognition and awards from agencies throughout the Carolinas.  From those days to now, Mark is still in the business of helping people and organizations save valuable time, money and limiting their grief by using his 2+ decades of experience.  After helping several thousands of victims from fire, floods, hurricanes, car wrecks, death and just foolish human errors, Mark provides a unique insight and wisdom which is truly valuable during trying times. He still focuses his skills to provide ordinary people with simple tools to avoid undue stress.

Mark Fagala and his family have been in the death industry for 20 years. This is all we do. We don't just "dabble" in this, we live this. . We are trained for Biohazard Recovery and MRSA removal. Most "mop and bucket brigade" personnel are not trained or equipped to handle biohazardous wastes such as blood or bodily fluids.

As demanding as Marks resources are, his paramount concern is his blended family which includes his wife Tina, sons Cameron and Hunter and his new arrival Lillie Grace. 
 

Mark's plate stays full with the many things he does for free. He is a firefighter with Union Road Fire Department, Hold's a seat on the RAC committee with the Gastonia City Council and runs special opps with Gaston Lifesaving. His most favorite past time is watching his 13 and 11 year old boys play sports. Mark is owner of Fagala Biohazard Specialist, LLC
